Veterans

Widener University is approved for the training of veterans across all degree and internship programs. Veterans enrolling for the first time should contact the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at va.gov to apply for their educational benefits. The VA will process the application and issue a Certificate of Eligibility, which must be submitted to the School Certifying Official in Lipka Hall to initiate benefits while attending Widener University.

Veterans are encouraged to apply for benefits at least 30 days prior to their intended enrollment start date.

Students receiving Chapter 33 and Chapter 35 educational benefits are required to complete a VA Widener University Enrollment Form and may need to provide additional information to the School Certifying Official to ensure accurate certification.

Currently enrolled benefit recipients will continued to be certified with the VA each semester.  If a recipient wishes to pause or defer benefits, they must  notify the School Certifying Official prior to the start of the semester.

For more information, contact Enrollment Services at 610-499-4161, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
