PSY 202 - Educational Psychology (S) 3 Credit(s)
This course is an introduction to the application of psychological theories and principles to educational settings. Topics include basic concepts of measurement and assessment, developmental characteristics of learners, theories of learning and motivation, classroom management and teacher behavior, and individual differences of young learners. Diversity in family and community contexts, as well as the culture of child development/day care, preschool, and elementary school settings are explored. This is a service-learning course. Prerequisite(s): PSY 105 .
