CHEM 120 - Sustainable Chemistry 3 Credit(s)
This course is open to all students who have an interest in sustainability and the role of chemistry in the environment and a sustainable world. The course introduces basic chemical concepts through their relationship with our natural world using current environmental issues. The course explores environmental issues affecting our local, regional, and national communities, and the role green chemistry plays as a solution to these issues. The course provides opportunities for students to practice advocacy at the local, regional, and national levels to address environmental racism and injustice. Prerequisite(s): MATH 101 or at least Level 3 on the Mathematics Assessment.
