Students will benefit from increasing their knowledge in Innovation in Organizations, including the study of innovative organizations, current issues in organizations, and how to assess and evaluate programs and initiatives. It is expected that students will:

  • Apply communication and leadership research to planning change initiatives
  • Optimize organizational impact through writing, speaking, and media options 
  • Explain the relationships among innovation, strategic planning, organizational analysis, and performance improvement.  
  • Utilize evidence-based scholarly literature to guide innovation in organizations inquiries 
  • Further develop their ability to manage and lead in various organizational roles  
  • Be able to articulate how theory and practice can be combined for application in professional and personal settings.
