Intramural Sports

The Pride Recreation Center intramural program is comprised of intramural and extramural sports leagues and events as well as informal recreation programs.  Intramural sports are offered in men’s, women’s, co-ed, and open divisions.  Programs are offered in the form of leagues, tournaments and/or special events and challenges each semester.  Intramural activities should be fun for all participants, promote physical activity, provide friendly competition, build character, and allow students to develop leadership skills.  The programs are offered based on student interest and available resources and facilities.

All main campus, full-time, undergraduate students are eligible for participation in season long intramural program offerings.  All students must be active with no financial holds on his/her account.

All main campus, full-time, graduate students are eligible to participate in any intramural program offered as a One/Two-Day tournament and designated special events ONLY.

Intramural events take place on a variety of Widener fields and facilities and typically occur between 4:00-10:00pm weekly with some weekend play.  Rules of play are governed by the National-Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) and participation in the program is voluntary and determined by student interest.
