MIS 363 - Object-Oriented Design and Development 3 Credit(s)
Object-oriented concepts are prevalent in today’s organizations. This course emphasizes the object-oriented aspects of programming, analysis, and design. Students learn how to design and develop information systems using an object-oriented/event-driven language. Design and development of business applications that are efficient and maintainable are emphasized. Topics include object-oriented concepts such as classes, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, hierarchy, modularity, and encapsulation. The course reinforces object design concepts using an object-oriented programming language. Students are required to design and write a number of applications to solve business problems. Prerequisite(s): MIS 290 .
