This course is a continuation of PHYS 141 . Topics include classical electromagnetic theory, DC and AC circuit theory, geometrical and physical optics, special relativity, quantum phenomena, an introduction to atomic, molecular, and solid state physics, and nuclear and elementary particle physics.
3 hours lecture. 1 hour recitation.
