POLS 207 - Power and Influence: Interest Groups in American Politics

This course evaluates the roles of interest groups in the American political system. Students examine the classic questions of how interest groups organize, develop agendas, and lobby government officials. Special emphasis is placed on exploring the proper role of interest groups in a democratic society. Students also learn how to frame issues and design their own advocacy campaign.
Prerequisite(s): POLS 101 .
