POLS 215 - Environmental Politics and Policy

This course examines the context surrounding the debate, enactment, and implementation of environmental policies in the United States. It will explore the complex interactions between politicians, bureaucrats, pressure groups, and the public on issues of the environment. It will then examine the policies that the political system produces and their effects on American society. The course places a special emphasis on the way in which political actors frame issues related to the environment.
