Leadership types and styles are discussed as they relate to the need for a supervisor to identify and develop his or her own leadership style. Topics include leadership style inventory, coaching and mentoring staff, effective verbal and written communication skills, productivity, leadership vs. management roles, and ethics in the workplace. A learning journal is required.
