This course provides a foundation for physical therapy practice with individuals throughout adulthood. It covers the typical aging process from early adulthood through older adulthood. Topics related to the psychosocial, motor, and cognitive impact of aging are addressed. Particular emphasis is placed on the relationship between the aging process and realistic goal-setting for physical therapy intervention of clients throughout adulthood.
