PT 752 - Evidence-Based Inquiry III

This course is an introduction to qualitative research with an emphasis on the role that qualitative research fills in the evidence-based practice of physical therapy. The course covers the assumptions of the qualitative paradigm, includes a comparison to the quantitative paradigm, and considers how both approaches might be used together. Students have many opportunities to study the qualitative literature related to physical therapy to enhance their understandings of the concepts and expose them to practical applications.
Fieldwork Component: The course includes a fieldwork experience and culminates in a project in which student groups present an article critique.
