The course explores the process of examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention used in providing physical therapy to clients with neurological dysfunction. The course is focused on common neuromuscular conditions including stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and spinal cord injury. Principles of evidence-based practice, the relationship between impairments and function, and the importance of family/client education are emphasized throughout the course.
