This course is an application of concepts of physiologic response and manifestations of alterations in normal body functioning across the lifespan and drug-nutrient interaction that provides the foundation for evidence-based clinical decision-making and management of care. Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs and herbal supplements frequently used to treat diet-related chronic diseases are discussed.
