OT 716 - Global Health 2 Credit(s)
This course exposes students to the health care professional’s role in community health both locally and globally, as well as an in-depth consideration of culturally congruent, anti-racist patient/client-centered care. The contents cover health disparities and social determinants of health, health literacy, issues of health care access, cultural competency development, anti-racist practice, allyship, and interprofessional patient/client-centered care. Interprofessional dialogue, clinical applications, and experiential learning are hallmarks of this course. This course is cross listed with PT, OT, and SLP. Same As: PT 716 and SLP 516
