BIOL 297 - Research Development 2 Credit(s)
This course familiarizes students with the fundamentals of developing a biological research program. Topics include an examination of the philosophy of science and scientific revolutions, literature review and bibliographic searching techniques, the design and implementation of a research project, and the written and graphical presentation of scientific material. Students may not receive credit for both BIOL 297 and BIOL 299 . Sophomore standing or permission of the instructor is required. 3 hours lecture.
