This course provides laboratory experiments that correlate to the material in CHEM 135 for civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering majors required to take a single semester of chemistry. Fundamentals of measurement and quantitative aspects of chemistry are emphasized. The course includes safe handling of solids and liquids, physical separations, inorganic syntheses, solution concentrations, gas laws, thermochemistry, and molecular models. 3 hours laboratory.
