CHEM 256 - Organic Chemistry II 4 Credit(s)
This is the second semester of a two-semester introductory organic chemistry sequence for science, engineering, and pre-med programs. The course emphasizes the nomenclature, structure, properties, and identification (IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR, and MS) of a large number of classes of organic compounds. The course includes further emphasis on alternative green reagents/reactions and multistep synthesis. 4 class hours. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 255 Corequisite(s): CHEM 258
