PHYS 120 - Conceptual Physics

An introductory course for students who do not plan to major in science. The central ideas, principles, and relationships of physics are applied to the study of the natural universe and the human environment. Many of the concepts discussed are investigated through activities. The concepts presented are developed and supported with minimal mathematics. Concepts discussed can include mechanics, properties of matter, heat, sound, electricity and magnetism, light quantum mechanics, and atomic and nuclear physics.
