SOC 361 - Race Theory and Film 3 Credit(s)
This course explores the historical and contemporary social realities of race and racism through the lens of theory and film. Specifically, this course utilizes theories of race and racism, including theories of the social construction of race, institutional racism and systemic racism, to analyze and critically evaluate how race and racism have been documented on film. This course serves as a sociology elective and a social science general education elective. Prerequisite(s): AFAS 101 or SOC 105 or SOC 204
