ASC 101 - Thinking Through

Each Thinking Through course explores a pressing question - an important and complex question without a simple answer. Together with their instructor and peers, students investigate this question from multiple perspectives, discovering as they go the different ways of thinking and knowing that will inform their college experience. Each course is capped at 18 students to support discussion and close student-faculty relationships (team-taught sections are capped at 25 students). The course may be linked to a specific section of ENGL 101 to foster a closer learning community. Students are encouraged to pick a Thinking Through course topic that interests them and that addresses a question they would like to learn more about.
