The transport of momentum, heat, and mass and its application in chemical and materials engineering. Topics include fluid rheology; boundary layer; velocity profile; stream function; momentum balance; principles of conductive, convective, and radiative heat transfer; application of fundamental principles to analysis of fluids-handling equipment; fundamentals of mass transport. 
Corequisite(s): MATH 242  and either CHE 222  or ENGR 325
