CSCI 434 - Database Systems I 3 Credit(s)
Study of the semantics, design theories, architecture and manipulation of relational database systems; review of hierarchical and network models; query processing and optimization strategies; principles of security, recovery, and concurrency control. Projects will be assigned to use a commercially available database system. Prerequisite(s): CSCI 257 and CSCI 258 or CSCI 247 and 248.
