SOC 382 - Research Design for Sociology (Q)

The course teaches the application of scientific method to the study of human behavior. Topics include the relationship between theory, hypotheses and empirical research, laboratory and field experimental methods, survey research, participant observation, and the use of documents and available data. After completing the course, students should be able to design scientifically valid research and also interpret and evaluate research conducted by others. Required of all majors in sociology.
Prerequisite(s): SOC 105  or SOC 204
