RE 411 - Modern Control Theory

An introductory course into modern control techniques, with emphases on state space modeling methods and validation via simulation. Continuous and discrete-time systems will be examined. Topics include stability, observability, controllability, and canonical realizations and transformations. Root locus and frequency response control design method. Advanced topics including linear quadratic regulation and Kalman filtering are covered.
