Nursing, Accelerated RN to BSN to MSN

The RN to BSN to MSN program is designed for students who require a BSN degree. The program curriculum includes three graduate level nursing courses that can accelerate a student’s path to an MSN degree. Students can stop out and achieve a BSN after completing the RN to BSN coursework, and not continue on to further MSN courses, or apply to one of our MSN program options and have the graduate courses transferred to the MSN transcript upon admission to the MSN program. 

Admission Criteria

  • Graduation from an Accredited Associates Degree in Nursing Program.
  • GPA of 2.5-2.99 for conditional admission into the RN to BSN portion
    • Must complete 6 credits and get a B or better to be admitted to the RN to BSN program.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher to be admitted to the RN to BSN program.
  • Pre-requisite: Successful completion of an approved Undergraduate Statistics course with a grade of “C” or better.
  • Evidence of current licensure with eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.

Credit Equivalencies

  • General Education block credits (from Associates Degree) – 60 Credits
    • Covers all University General Education Requirements for BSN
  • RN Block credit– 33 credits
  • Widener Univeristy RN to BSN program – 30 credits

Total Credits=123 Credits
