The Biomedical Engineering program provides students with post-graduate training and knowledge to bridge the gap between engineering and medicine. The curriculum offers an array of interdisciplinary areas such as biomedical imaging, biomedical devices, biomechanics, biomaterials, and cell and tissue engineering. The objective is to advance student’s professional and technical skills in preparation for a career in research and development, industry, academia, government, and other healthcare fields.
Students in the MSE program are encouraged to work with their academic advisor to design a focused program of study that will enhance their career goals and professional skills. The MSE degree can be completed with a thesis or non-thesis option.

Select 4 courses, in consultation with the academic advisor, with BME, EE, ME, RE or ENGR prefixes. Students pursuing a thesis must enroll in ENGR 691 and ENGR 692 in lieu of two technical electives.
