*Students may begin the French major or minor with one of the following courses: FREN 101  , FREN 201  , or FREN 301  . Please contact the Chair of Modern Languages regarding which level is most appropriate for students who have studied French previously, or who have had extended noninstructional exposure to and experience with the language. Students beginning above the 101 level do not need to make up those credits with additional French courses. Students may not take a course for credit at a lower level after having received credit for a more advanced course. This includes transfer credit, AP credit, and dual enrollment credit.

**Students must complete a minimum of 3 credits of a laboratory science course. Please note that many lab science courses are four-credit courses while others are 3-credit courses. Students should consult their academic advisor when selecting a lab science course.

Pre-Physical Therapy Pathway (Humanities and Social Sciences)

Identified majors within the College of Arts and Sciences have an opportunity to pursue a pre-physical therapy pathway. Humanities and social science students can do so by completing their major requirements along with meeting the general prerequisite courses for the graduate program in physical therapy (see list below). Simply completing the specified courses does not guarantee admission into a graduate program. Students should consult with their undergraduate academic advisor or the Institute for Physical Therapy Education Program Director for details about minimum grade requirements and conditions for completing a reserved seat admissions program.
