Students may take courses in an approved study-abroad program to complete some of the required credits. However, to complete the minor, University policy requires that students take at least 50% of their coursework at Widener. Students who enter Widener without the necessary language skills to place into a 300-level Spanish course should enroll in the 100- and/or 200-level sequence(s) of elementary and intermediate Spanish courses to develop the necessary skills to succeed in the required courses for the minor. To ensure proper placement, contact the Chair of the Modern Languages Department. The program of study that appears here applies to students who were admitted for the summer session of this catalog year and later. Students admitted prior to that term should select the appropriate catalog year of their admission.
