Engineering and Technology Management, MSE

The ETM program offers engineers and other professionals, who are mid-level managers of technology enterprises and are aspiring to advance their careers, a balanced curriculum covering technical topics, and the principles and tools of management and decision making in today’s businesses. Electives and clusters in business process innovation, data analytics, organizational leadership, business fundamentals, innovation in organizations, and diversity, equity and inclusion are offered. Contact the Graduate Program Director for details on how to earn a certificate in one of these clusters in addition to the Master’s degree. This program is not part of the dual MSE/MBA program.

Curriculum (30 Credits)


Engineering Electives (12 Credits)


Select four Engineering Electives from existing Engineering courses.

Business and Organizational Development and Leadership Electives (9 Credits)


Select any three School of Business Administration (SBA) and/or Organizational Development and Leadership (ODL) elective courses below to complete the ETM specialization.

To earn a certificate from the School of Business Administration (SBA), students must apply to the SBA certificate program, complete one of the clusters below, and complete a fourth course. See the SBA course catalog for more information.

To earn a certificate in Organizational Development and Leadership, students must apply to the certificate program and complete one of the clusters below. See the ODL course catalog for more information.
