2022-2023 University Student Handbook

Dear Students,

Welcome to the landing page for the 2022-23 Student Handbook. We do hope you have landed here searching for information you could not otherwise locate.  Our goal is to provide this resource to our students, both undergraduate and graduate, to help you navigate the University and get answers to your questions.  In fact, we hope this resource is so helpful you will begin your search right here in the future.

As you navigate these pages, you will find we have provided links to a wide variety of resources on campus. Whenever possible we have done so because the information you most likely need exists on a webpage for the specific office or resource you seek. Therefore, on some occasions you will not find as much “content” listed in the handbook.  However, the link we provided should take you to all the information you need.

If you are searching for information and cannot find it using the Student Handbook, please feel free to write me at my e-mail address below.  If I do not know how to direct you, I will find out.  In addition, as you browse and use this tool we do hope you can help improve it by offering us feedback. Our students have told us the student handbook is a very helpful resource.  In fact, in a recent survey Widener students indicated they like the changes we have made to the handbook, and are more satisfied than previously, something for which we are quite pleased.  Having said that, if you have a suggestion please do not hesitate to share it as we are committed to constant improvement. Once again, use the e-mail listed below to do so.

Finally, our ultimate goal is to exceed your expectations.  If we have done so, I would love to hear about that as well. Regardless, I will respond to all queries within 24-48 business hours.

Best of luck and Go Pride!

Sincerely,

John P. Downey, Ph.D.
Dean of Students
