Examination of theoretical, legal, and regulatory issues facing the management of commercial banks, savings and loan associations, life insurance companies, and pension funds. Topics include market structure of depository institutions, asset and liability management, risk-based capital and deposit premium, select foreign banking systems, and other contemporary issues facing financial institutions. Prerequisite(s): BUS 655 or FP 601 or equivalent.
