CHEM 147 - General Chemistry Lab I

This course provides the basic laboratory exercises in general chemistry correlated to the material in CHEM 145. Fundamentals of measurement and quantitative aspects of chemistry are emphasized. The course includes safe handling of solids and liquids, physical separations, inorganic syntheses, solution concentrations, gas laws, energy transfer, and molecular models.
3 hours laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 101 or at least Level 3 on the Mathematics Assessment.Corequisite(s): CHEM 145 or successful completion of CHEM 145.
