Students in this course learn about instrumentation used for chemical measurements and analysis. The course includes atomic spectroscopy, ultraviolet and visible spectroscopy, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, NMR, and electrochemical analysis. The course emphasizes data analysis, statistical techniques, and the design and use of instrumentation. 3 class hours. Prerequisite(s):CHEM 255 or permission of instructor.Corequisite(s):CHEM 368.
