Teamwork, understanding group dynamics, and conflict-resolution skills are important components of supervising and motivating staff. Topics include team-building skills, motivating and empowering staff, providing consistent and objective performance evaluation, as well as legal issues related to staff evaluation, discipline, and termination. A learning journal is required.
