SEM 350 - International Sport and Tourism Management

Students learn about the global sports and tourism industry. Topics include cultural practices, globalization, destination development, and the economic, political, environmental, operational, and marketing impact on the global sports and tourism industry. Additionally, the differences between the sports and tourism industry internationally and in the United States are addressed. Students will have the opportunity to visit an international destination and visit sports and tourism venues as well as interact with and learn from sports and tourism managers and operators as part of this course. This course carries an additional fee separate from tuition for all costs associated with travel to the international tourist destination.
