The course guides students in developing the dissertation proposal. Coursework includes literature review and synthesis; the development of empirical and practical rationales underlying research; meetings with dissertation chair and other experts in the proposed areas of research; dialogue with peers, instructors, and guests; and instruction in making and supporting research decisions.
Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of comprehensive exams.
