NURS 702 - Nursing Science I: Epistemology

This course examines the nature of knowledge based on ideas, the senses, and scientific information. Knowledge development is explored through a variety of ways of thinking and ways of knowing. Logical thinking, reasoning, and argument are discussed and practiced. Students develop an understanding of the nature of knowledge, ways of knowing, and issues in the philosophy of science. As this content is reinforced throughout the curriculum, students will be able to apply their knowledge to writing well-organized papers, analyzing conceptual and research papers, and using scholarly argument.
