BIOL 297 - Research Development

This course familiarizes students with the fundamentals of developing a biological research program. Topics include an examination of the philosophy of science and scientific revolutions, literature review and bibliographic searching techniques, the design and implementation of a research project, and the written and graphical presentation of scientific material. Students may not receive credit for both BIOL 297 and BIOL 299. Sophomore standing or permission of the instructor is required. 3 hours lecture.
