BIOL 219 - Microbiology

An introduction to the basic principles of microbiology. The classification, structure, function, and metabolism of bacteria, fungi, algae, protozoans, and viruses are discussed. The role of microorganisms in human health and disease and the control of microbial growth is stressed.  3 hours lecture and laboratory weekly.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 121   and BIOL 123 lab
