HSED 901 - Dissertation Seminar

The course guides students in creating and clarifying a dissertation research project with the goal of developing a working draft of the dissertation proposal. Students learn expectations for each chapter of the proposal, receive peer and instructor feedback on their drafts, consult with their advisor as well as experts and researchers in their area of interest, develop a supportive dissertation writing group relationship with their peers, and engage in a dialogue about both the process and the content of one’s own and other students’ work.
Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of comprehensive exams.
