This course provides an overview of leadership and change theories in organizations in which nurses are employed. Organizational structure and implications for leadership and management will be considered. Emphasis is placed on personal leadership development, organizational leadership and change, communication, and conflict. Issues related to health care disparities, interprofessional teambuilding, human diversity, and ethics are examined.
