Students will benefit from increasing their knowledge in Leadership in Organizations, including organizational theories, ethical leadership, and communications. It is expected that students will:

  • Explain principles of organizational structure and design; environment, strategy, technology, organizational culture, change, organizational and inter-organizational relationships, decision making hierarchies, bureaucracy, power, and politics. 
  • Identify and overcome the challenges of ethical leadership that occur at the individual, organizational and societal levels. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the major theories of organizations and human behavior in an organizational context. 
  • Optimize organizational impact through writing, speaking, and media options 
  • Further develop their ability to manage and lead in various organizational roles
  • Be able to articulate how theory and practice can be combined for application in professional and personal settings.
