Students will benefit from increasing their knowledge in Workforce Development in Organizations, including group dynamics, adult learning; and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. It is expected that students will:
- Develop a knowledge base of adult learning theories and the concepts of adult development and motivation.
- Identify best practices associated with leading teams and groups through the application of theory and research
- Analyze the major challenges related to social perspectives of diversity in the U.S., gain exposure to various theories, evaluate institutional and structural policies, and understand social and institutional contexts of diverse workforce populations
- Further develop their ability to manage and lead in various organizational roles
- Be able to articulate how theory and practice can be combined for application in professional and personal settings.
