Honors in French
To be eligible to receive honors in French, students must:
- Have studied, interned, or volunteered abroad in an approved program for a minimum of one week in a country in which French is the official language or have completed an internship or volunteer project of 40 hours minimum using French in an immigrant community setting in the United States.
- Have both a cumulative GPA and a GPA within the major of 3.0 or higher and a grade of A- or higher in FREN 409 .
- Give a public presentation about their experiences abroad during International Week, Honors Week, or Student Project Day.
- Have no record of academic integrity violations.
To be eligible to receive high honors in French, students must:
- Have studied, interned, or volunteered abroad in an approved program for a minimum of a semester in a country in which French is the official language.
- Have a cumulative GPA and a GPA within the major of 3.5 or higher and a grade of A- or higher in FREN 409 .
- Write a reflective paper of 3–5 pages about how the study abroad experience enhanced his/her education as a French major.
- Give a public presentation about their experiences abroad during International Week, Honors Week, or Student Project Day.
- Have no record of academic integrity violations.
