Applied Supervision, Minor (Continuing Studies)


22 semester hours of credit required

This program may be taken in addition to or in lieu of a degree program in Extended Learning by individuals who seek the skills required for entry-level supervisory positions. The program is designed to be practical and applications-oriented, addressing the theories and practice of human relations and supervision, the legal aspects of supervision, supervising staff, leadership skills, organizational psychology, and planning and organizing. In addition, three courses are designed to incorporate experiential learning activities that allow students to meet professional goals related to supervision. It is recommended that students interested only in the certificate have a minimum of 30 college credits and complete ENGL 101  prior to enrolling.
