The Applied AI for Engineering Minor introduces engineering students to artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on engineering fields. It broadly covers AI concepts, terminology, and real-world examples, equipping students with tools to explore AI’s potential. The minor offers insights into practical AI implementations in engineering fields and provides engineering students with the opportunity to explore the practical applications of artificial intelligence. The students will gain valuable insights into:
- Utilizing low-code or no-code AI tools
- Learning introductory Python programming for the basics of searching, planning, and using machine learning
- Integrating and analyzing data with AI technologies
- Navigating professional frameworks in AI applications and addressing professional considerations in AI
