Special emphasis is placed on the use of model organisms, recombinant DNA technology, and bioinformatics to better understand animal development, human disease, and mechanisms of evolution. In laboratory, students apply Mendelian genetics and molecular biology techniques in multi-week projects. 3 hours laboratory. 3 hours lecture. 1 hour recitation.
