The prevalence of social media in our culture creates an expectation that people communicate through technological platforms more often than traditional interpersonal means. Business and industry professionals market to specific audiences through evolving social media channels. Students actively follow case studies of current social media strategies, compare this activity to national trends, and report their findings to the class. In addition, students understand the value of building social capital, comprehend the newest technological applications, and evaluate social media campaigns. Prerequisite(s): No Prerequisites.
