PHYS 313 - Classical Mechanics 3 Credit(s)
This course involves the rigorous study of Newtonian mechanics and its applications to the motion of particles, particle systems, and extended bodies. Vector calculus methods are used freely. Applications to astronomy and particle physics will be treated. 3 hours lecture. 1 hour recitation weekly. Prerequisite(s): PHYS 162 and MATH 242 .
